If you are looking for a specific play and you know the title, search the library catalog (use either keyword or title):

If you know the author of the play, search the library catalog (use keyword or author search). If you use an author search, type in the last name first and the first name last (e.g. Kane Sarah):

Plays with the call number ActEd_____ are shelved together in the Drama Library in the open stacks and shelved alphabetically by the ActEd number. (More information about acting editions.

• Playscripts, Inc. is an online publisher of new plays. You can search for plays by different criteria but be aware that you'll have to pay for the plays.

• The UW Libraries has access to Theatre in Video - UW restricted an online collection of videos. Theatre In Video contains more than 250 definitive performances of the world's leading plays, together with more than 100 film documentaries, online in streaming video - more than 500 hours in all, representing hundreds of leading playwrights, actors and directors.

• The UW Libraries has access to Black Drama - UW restricted an online collection of plays written by African American playwrights. You can search Black Drama by a variety of criteria including subject, keyword, etc.

• The UW Libraries has access to North American Indian Drama - UW restricted an online collection of plays written by American Indian and First Nation playwrights of the 20th century. You can search North American Indian Drama by a variety of criteria including subject, keyword, etc.
