  • International Financial Statistics (IFS)(UW RESTRICTED)
    by the Inter. Monetary Fund. "The IFS database contains approx. 32,000 time series covering more than 200 countries and areas and includes all series appearing on the IFS country pages; exchange rate series for all Fund member countries, plus Aruba and the Netherland Antilles: major Fund account series; and most other world, area, and country series from the IFS World Tables."

    OECD.Stat is a developing "single online platform where you can discover and use our [OECD] statistical databases....an improved BETA version of OECD Statistics will be launched in SourceOECD, containing more complete databases."

  • OFFSTATS: Official Statistics on the Web. Provided by the University of Aukland Library, "The OFFSTATS database provides access to free statistics from official sources on the web. Web links are arranged by country, region or subject. The database can be searched by a single category, or a combination of categories. All of the content of the database is held in the public domain and is available through the Internet."
  • UT [Texas] Library ONLINE, Statistics and Demographics, by the University of Texas Library. Free, excellent, easy to use links to interactive electronic statistical data. Not all sources are from IGO's or governmental sources, nor are they all available to University of Washington users.

• GenderStats, databases of Gender Statistics by the World Bank.

• GEO Data Portal "is the authoritative source for data sets used by UNEP and its partners in the Global Environment Outlook (GEO) report and other integrated environment assessments. Its online database holds more than 400 different variables, as national, subregional, regional and global statistics or as geospatial data sets (maps), covering themes like Freshwater, Population, Forests, Emissions, Climate, Disasters, Health and GDP. Display them on-the-fly as maps, graphs, data tables or download the data in different formats."

• HEALTH:
  
  • WHO Statistical Information System (WHOSIS) "Evidence and Information for Health Policy. The WHO Statistical Information System is the guide to health and health-related epidemiological and statistical information available from the World Health Organization. Most WHO technical programmes make statistical information available, and they will be linked from here. You also have the possibility to search by keywords within the WHOSIS or throughout the entire WHO site."
  • World Health Statistics provided by "globalhealth.gov" a service of the Office of Global Health Affairs, U.S., Department of Health and Human Services. Links are provided to many international health reports.

• OECD, Development Co-operation Directorate (DAC): click on "Statistics" to find descriptions of OECD statistical sources on debt, development assistance, development indicators, and much more! Note that some free information is found here, but that the UW Libraries has purchased many of these fee based print and electronic sources (Web based, CD/Diskettes).

  • Trade Data Online "provides the ability to generate customized reports on Canada's and U.S. trade with over 200 countries" by Statistics Canada.

• World Income Inequality Database WWW Version 1.0/ UNU/WIDER - UNDP "The UNU/WIDER - UNDP World Income Inequality Database (WIID) collects and stores information on income inequality for developed, developing, and transition countries in an easily retrievable, exportable, and analyzable format. It is available on the internet for browsing and download in order to facilitate further analysis and debate on inequality."
