Map Resources
Each of the following cartographic resource pages includes a definition
of the resource, an explanation of what the Map Collection has and how
to find it, circulation information, purchasing information and a list
of popular websites and print items.

- Aerial Photography/Remote-Sensing Imagery
- The UW Map Collection has over 80,000 aerial photographs.
- Atlases - The Map Collection emphasizes
atlases from the current period, as well as currently published atlases
that show historic information.
- Base/Outline Maps - Where to go
if you need a basic map of a country, or a blank map with outlines
only for teaching purposes.
- Geographic Information Systems (GIS) -

- Historic Maps - UW's oldest maps are
housed in Special Collections, but a number of maps published before
