This site maintains directories to think tanks, advocacy group pages, government agency, industry (including trade, professional and union organizations), and business homepages, all of which contain policy statements and perspectives. A page of daily news announcements that relate to policy issues, Intellectualcapital.com, a magazine-style site with contributors representing a wide political spectrum, Issues Forum, and Issues of the Week provide responses from opinion makers on currently debated policies.
- Political Advocacy Groups
This site maintains an alphabetical list and subject lists of all national "cause lobbyist" groups.
Provides descriptions of each advocacy group and contact information.
- Politics on the Web
This site is maintained by the Government Publications Section, University of Washington Libraries. It is an excellent entry into official government sites and information, as well as many political sites that contribute to government policy.
- Public Affairs Web
This site works like a huge index to all aspects of American public affairs. It maintains an excellent set of "Public Service Links," which includes a directory to public action groups (PACs) organized by state, a thorough list of political party homepages, and a list of unions on the web.
- Public Agenda Online
Public Agenda, a nonpartisan, nonprofit research organization, is devoted to public opinion,
policy analysis, and citizen education. The site provides eighteen issue guides that cover topics such as crime, education, environment, immigration, and welfare.
