INDEX KEWENSIS
The Index Kewensis database (IKew) is a world list of names of seed-bearing plants with bibliographic references to their first publication. This list is derived from a multi-volume set of books the first of which was published in 1895.

Authors of Plant Names database (APN) is a world list of authors of scientific plant names with the recommended standard forms of the authors' names, including abbreviations, derived from a single-volume reference book.
Note: The APN and IK(ew) databases are also now available on the web at www.us.ipni.org, or www.ipni.org (International plant names index website) but faster searching can be done using locally mounted IKew/APN.
