Books

Maybe paper isn't so bad after all…

Main ways to find a library book:
  1. Search the UW Libraries Catalog to find books located at campus libraries. You may select "Request/Place Hold" to have the book sent to the campus library of your choice, or write down the call number and visit the owning library directly.

  2. Search Summit, a library catalog that combines information from Pacific Northwest academic libraries into a single unified database. Requested items may be delivered to any UW library and checked out for a three-week period.

  3. Search WorldCat Local, an interface that combines the catalogs of UW, Summit, and other libraries around the world. Items not owned by UW or Summit appear here and may be requested through Interlibrary Loan.

  4. Didn't find it? Search Books in Print (UW restricted), Powell's Books, or Amazon.com.

  5. Still can't find it? See a librarian!
