Vietnam in the 21st Century: Journeys on the Ground
and in the Imagination, an international conference hosted by the American
Museum of Natural History (AMNH) and organized by Professor Hue-Tam
Ho Tai (Harvard University), featuring recent fieldwork in Vietnam.
Using "journeys" as an organizing theme, panels will address
the following six topics: People on the Move; Commodities in Motion;
Life on the Water; Communing with Spirits; Personal Trajectories and
Journeys to Modernity.
Open to the public free of charge with suggested Museum admission. For

Vietnam: Journeys of Body, Mind, and Spirit, a related exhibition
organized by AMNH and the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology (VME), will
