Subject: [Vsg] Books on Vietnam and Southeast Asia published in Moscow

Dear colleagues,

Professor Vladimir Mazyrin, Co-Chair of the Center for Modern Southeast

Asian and Pacific Studies at Moscow State University, has sent out
information on two recently published volumes that may be of interest
to VSGers.

One is Prof. Mazyrin's own monograph, Transition Reforms in Vietnam
(1986-2006) (Klutch Publishing House, Moscow, 2007, ISBN
978-5-93136-040-9).

The other is Mazyrin, Novakova and Tcvetov, eds., Asia Pacific Outlook
2006-2007 (Klutch Publishing House, Moscow, 2007, ISBN
978-5-93136-048-5).

Several other VSGers and I have copies of the covers and English
summaries for these volumes; I am not enclosing these because of their size but
would be pleased to forward to anyone interested.

Professor Mazyrin also has a chapter on Vietnam's external economic
integration in Vietnam's New Order: International Perspectives on the
State
and Reform (Balme and Sidel, eds., Palgrave Macmillan, 2006).

Best wishes.
