Here are some publicly available free scholarly e-resources (books,
working papers, articles) that would benefit scholars that are outside
those academic institutions that have licensed access to scholarly
databases:
1.
e-scholarship editions (includes publicly available books from University
of California Press)
http://content.cdlib.org/search?sort=title&relation=escholarship.cdlib.org&style=eschol&rights=Public
(link is to publicly available e-books)
2.
e-scholarship repository (working papers from University of California
research centers)
http://repositories.cdlib.org/escholarship/
3.
Google Scholar
Also Google Scholar often has links to freely available scholarly
articles
