papers
Hello VSG list,
Following are two announcements from the Explorations in Southeast
Asian Studies, the graduate student produced journal. The Spring 2004
issue is now available online, with one paper on Vietnam. The call for
papers is open to graduate students in any discipline at any university
on any topic concerning Southeast Asia. Please address questions,
inquiries or requests for a paper copy to seassa@hawaii.edu

CALL FOR PAPERS
Explorations in Southeast Asian Studies
The online journal of the Southeast Asian Studies Student Association
at the University of Hawaii, Manoa
Student papers are considered on a rotating basis and papers may be
submitted at any time. However, the deadline for the Fall 2004 issue
is Aug 31, 2004 and the deadline for the Spring 2005 issue is January
5, 2005. Explorations is produced by graduate students in Southeast
Asian studies at the University of Hawai^Òi through a blind review
process. Explorations showcases graduate student research on Southeast
Asia from a diverse range of perspectives, including, but not limited
to: historical studies, literary criticism, anthropological research
and urban studies. All submissions are expected neither to have been
published elsewhere nor to be under current review for publication
elsewhere. The journal is primarily published online, with a small
print run for each issue. Project support comes from the Center for
Southeast Asian Studies at the University of Hawaii, Manoa. The
papers published in Explorations are not necessarily representative of
the views of the editors or the publisher and responsibility for
opinions expressed and factual accuracy of papers lies with the
individual authors.
Submissions and inquiries should be submitted by email to
seassa@hawaii.edu. Submissions are expected to conform to the style
guide posted on our website. Past issues, including the most recent
Spring 2004 are also available on the website:
