Report on Ethical, Legal & Policy Issues
The long-overdue report on Ethical, Legal & Policy Issues is now available on the conference web site; it can be accessed by clicking on the link below, then selecing "Ethics/Law/Policy" under "REPORTS".
There are several reasons for the lengthy delay in publication, of
which the most important is that it turned out to involve a lot more
work than originally anticipated. That work may not yet-- or ever--
be complete, given that many of the issues addressed are both complex
and controversial. For that reason, as noted in the Preface to the report,
all those who disagree with the analysis or feel that more needs to
be said are very welcome to share their views and raise questions in
the
"Open Forum" section of the conference web site.
