Join us for the First International Conference on Hmong Studies, sponsored by the Center for Hmong Studies. The conference will be held at Concordia University, St. Paul from March 10 - 11, 2006. This is a conference for scholars who have done research within the Hmong community and those that want to learn more about the Hmong people as well as for students and community members. The conference will provide an opportunity for scholars to share their research findings with the rest of the community through a Call for Paper process. Some papers will be published in our first Journal on Hmong Studies. We will have exhibits and vendor booths set up near the conference site. The First International Conference on Hmong Studies will occur the weekend before the 11th Annual Hmong National Development Conference, sponsored by the Hmong National Development (HND), which will also be held in Minnesota from March 16 - 19, 2006.
