Turbulence and Continuity in South East Asia

22nd Conference - 2005

This residential conference is to be held at Crossmead, University of Exeter. Formerly a Victorian house, Crossmead is set within four acres of beautifully landscaped grounds on the Western Edge of Exeter, and is considered the jewel in the crown of Exeter University~Rs conference venues.

Registration fee: £40 for members / £50 for non-members

Students free (to be paid by ASEASUK)

For students presenting papers who do not have funds to attend the conference, applications may be made to cover travel and accommodation costs. Closing date for such applications for funding support is January 31st 2005

Payment by credit card, cheque or BACS made out to the University of Exeter

Bookins should be made not later than 10th April 2005. After this date bookings should be made directly with Crossmead, and will incur VAT ( 17.5%) extra.

An opening event and reception is being planned for the evening of the Friday, 29th April, and there will be a conference dinner on the evening of 30th April.

We hope to run at least two consecutive panels on 30th April, and the morning of the 1st May, at the end of which will be the AGM followed by Sunday lunch. Some Limited Funds are available to support presentations by researchers from South East Asia. Applicants should send abstracts of their proposed presentations to the conference organisers. Applications for support by scholars from South East Asia must be submitted by 31st January 2005.
