Conference. I suspect that we might have a number of panel suggestions for Euroseas, so we might have a link to various panel suggestions. I think we did this once before?

Subject: [Vsg] Euroseas 2007: call for papers on Property and Authority in the Natural Resource Arena
Dear all,
we are organizing a panel on property and authority relations with respect to natural resources at the upcoming Euroseas conference (September 12 - 15, 2007 in Naples, Italy).
We hope that the panel will bring together in-depth field investigations from different countries in Southeast Asia. These should critically interrogate key concepts in the study of property and authority, such as the state, governance, customary tenure, legal pluralism, decentralization, and devolution. Paper proposals should be sent directly to us by March 1, 2007 (Keebet von Benda-Beckmann: kbenda@eth.mpg.de; Franz von Benda-Beckmann: fbenda@eth.mpg.de; or, Thomas Sikor: thomas.sikor@rz.hu-berlin.de). The deadline for paper proposals is March 1st, 2007.
Please help us circulate this announcement. We should mention that participants are expected to arrange their own funding.
