Colleagues:

I am exploring the topic of social science data sharing in Vietnam, and the cultural conditions that impede or facilitate it. I am also wondering when social science surveys first were conducted in Vietnam. Was it during the Vietnam War period or earlier?

Dear Sir,
The social survey in Vietnam was carried out before the Vietnam War, but in a very small scale for the research purposes. Since 1986 when Vietnam carried out Doi Moi and the Vietnamese Academy of Social Sciences was found, this activity was paid off. Social surveys is aimed to contribute to the making-policy process.
I wish you ll get great success with your own topic.

Le Phuong
