Position: Performance Studies and/or Dance Historian/Theorist Rank: Assistant Professor Available: September 1, 2006 Salary: Commensurate with experience Performance Studies and/or Dance Historian/Theorist. Responsibilities include teaching doctoral performance studies and/or dance seminars, undergraduate interdisciplinary general education classes, pedagogy for graduate teaching associates, participating in team-taught doctoral interdisciplinary seminars, and developing a doctoral performance studies and/or dance emphasis. Qualifications: Ph.D. (in-hand preferred) in Performance Studies, Dance or related field. Historians/theorists in international arts are also encouraged to apply. Institution and Setting: Ohio University is a public residential Doctoral/Research Extensive University. Chartered in 1804, it is the oldest university in the Northwest Territory. Enrollment on the Athens Campus is currently 19,903 students with another 7,670 students on five regional campuses. The College of Fine Arts consists of six schools: Art, Interdisciplinary Arts, Dance, Film, Music and Theater. The School of Interdisciplinary Arts offers a unique doctoral program of study in the arts. The Ph.D. program educates scholars who are grounded in a single discipline and able to view that area through the lens of the other arts.
