Call for Applications: 2011 Visiting Fellowships
Northeast Asia, South Asia, and Southeast Asia Programs
The East-West Center in Washington is accepting applications from scholars and analysts who wish to undertake policy-relevant research and writing. Three fellowship programs are available: Northeast Asia, South Asia and Southeast Asia. Research topics should focus on international relations of Asia, political change in Asia, U.S.-Asia relations or (for Southeast Asia only) ASEAN integration and community-building efforts.
Fellowships will start in Autumn 2011 and last 3 months. A monthly stipend of US$2,500 to $4,500 (dependent upon experience) while in residence and round-trip airfare to Washington, D.C., will be provided. A small field research grant may also be available.
Applicants with or without a Ph.D. will be considered; those without a Ph.D. will be
considered based on their relevant professional experience. Applicants must be nationals
of a country in Asia, or the United States, and be eligible to receive a fellowship stipend. Applications should include a cover letter, a full CV, two letters of reference, and a policy-relevant research proposal and are due October 15, 2010.
