Scholarship program for the International Master of Advanced
Studies in Development Studies (IMAS)

Dear Sir or Madam,

**Re: Scholarship program for the International Master of Advanced
Studies in Development Studies (IMAS). **

We are very pleased to bring to your attention the launching and
recruitment of our /International Master of Advanced Studies in
Development Studies/ /(IMAS) /for the 2006-2007 academic year.

This IMAS is a Master program jointly organized by the Geneva-based
Graduate Institute of Development Studies (IUED) and AITCV. The program
is addressed to development practitioners of international, public and
private organizations in the Greater Mekong countries (mainly Cambodia,
Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam). The program lasts for 9 months from 14
August 2006 to 29 April 2007, and organized into 3 phases:

- Phase 1: 14 Aug - 13 Oct 2006 (9 weeks) in Hanoi, Vietnam,
- Phase 2: 16 Oct 2006 - 2 Feb 2007 (16 weeks) in the student’s
own country,
- Phase 3: 5 Feb – 29 April 2007 (11 weeks) in Geneva,
Switzerland.

The criteria for admission are
- Experience and responsibility in development activities of a
private or public institution,
- Bachelor degree or equivalent,
- Fluent in English and basic knowledge of computer and French,
- Being supported by a host institution for his/her research
- Age ideally between 25 and 35.

An introduction workshop about the program will be organized in
Hochiminh city at the following time and location.
