Subject: Nguyen Van Mu`i: Viet su 1788-1884
Has anyone seen a copy of this book?
It is a source for the rich and irreverent "A Short History of Viet
Nam" compiled by Nguyen Van Tha'i and Nguyen Van Mu*`ng for the
Vietnamese-American Association and published by the Times Publishing Company in Saigon in 1959.
I don't find the Nguyen Van Mui title on Worldcat. It might be listed there nonetheless, since I get erratic results from their search engine. I don't find it at the BNF general catalogue of French libraries.
They might not have everything on line yet.
Other titles by Nguyen Van Mui listed at Cornell suggest that he was a popular historian in Saigon, so perhaps some refugee press has reprinted his Viet su 1788-1884.
Has anyone seen it?
