Vietnam Panels in the 2003 Annual Meeting of the Association for Asian Studies (AAS)

The program for the 2003 annual meeting of the Association for Asian Studies (AAS) has been posted. The meetings which will be held in New York City from March 27-30, 2003 counts 6 panels that focus primarily on Vietnam (not including individual papers on Vietnam appearing elsewhere in the program.)

Once again, this indicates that Vietnam-focused panels outnumber panels from other areas of Southeast Asia. Congratulations on those of you who have organized panels and/or who have submitted papers that were accepted.

For those of you who do not received the AAS newsletter, here is a list of the Vietnam related panels and their scheduled times. The VSG meeting will be held on Friday March 28 from 7-9pm. Details of the meeting will be posted as the date approaches, but please make a note of it and plan to attend. I am listing the panels as they appear in the preliminary program with date, time, panel number, title of panel and name of organizer. Individual paper titles and names of individual participants will be listed later as the program is confirmed.
