Norelius was a Swedish Lutheran missionary pastor in the Pacific Northwest and California.
Diary account (xerox copy).
The accession was originally published in installments in Augustana, 1930-1931. It was translated by Emeroy Johnson and published in the "Lutheran Companion" serially, 1933-1934. Entries for his stay in Seattle are Oct. 21 - Nov. 8, 1885 and for Tacoma, Oct. 16-20, Nov. 9-10. The diary mentions anti-Chinese riots in Seattle and Tacoma and his opinion of their cause on November 8, 9, 1885.
