Rate:

$8.67 per hour.

Hours:

Up to 19.5 hours per week.
Schedule to be determined, some weekends and/or evenings required.

Duties:

  • Assisting library users with informational questions
  • Basic bibliographic checking and searching
  • Basic circulation duties (library materials check in/out; renewals, room bookings)
  • Retrieving and processing holds
  • Shelving, sorting, shelf reading, and shifting
  • Answering phones and assisting customers at the counter
  • Processing newspapers
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Job requires excellent public service skills; must enjoy working with patrons
  • Keyboard 30 words per minute
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, and general aptitude using computer software.
