Hours:

12-15  hours per week, to be scheduled.

Duties:

    • Accepts and processes cash, check, husky card and credit card payments from library patrons (in person, over the phone, online, or through the mail) for library fines and book replacement charges.
    • Issues borrowers cards to campus and off-campus library patrons.
    • Handles routine questions regarding library fine policies, patron account balances, and borrower's eligibility both in person and by telephone.
    • Issues locker keys, Suzzallo carrels and Allen graduate room study space.
    • Places and releases holds on student records using the student database.
    • Creates a variety of form notices using mail merge functions and Microsoft Access.
    • Processes accounts determined to be uncollectible.
    • Files active and paid invoices, borrower's card applications, and correspondence.
    • Performs other duties as required.

      Required Qualifications:

       

      • Cashiering/clerical experience.
      • Comfort with computers.
      • Excellent customer services skills.
