Hours:
|
- 8 - 15 hours per week
- Daytime shifts, with at least one evening Monday - Thursday, 4:30 - 7 pm
|

|
Duties:
|
- Assist patrons with finding library materials using library catalog, finding aids, and locating materials on the shelf.
- Check out and check in materials.
- Shelve and shelfread.
- Add information to finding aids in databases.
- Answer general and directional questions.
- After training, open and close the library and work without supervisor, including handling fire alarms and reporting problems.
- Answer telephone and take messages.

Required Qualifications:
|
- Able to work independently.
- Able to do accurate detailed work including shelving and database entry.
- Able to maintain reliable and punctual attendance, including arranging necessary absences in advance.
- Able to work through Fall quarter 2013 (with possible summer off).

| Desired Qualifications: |
- Experience working or volunteering in a library.
- Experience in drama or other performing art.
- Reading knowledge of a foreign language.
