Rate:

$15.45 per hour

Hours:

8-19.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Duties:

  • Assist with the preparation of materials for commercial binding by providing information from the library catalog.
  • Provide basic assistance to library staff regarding procedures.
  • Edit the description of the materials using the library catalog and specialized software.
  • Pack/unpack books and journals for shipment to/from commercial bindery.
  • Assist with quality control of newly bound materials.
  • Load/unload and move full book carts.
  • Perform stacks cleaning as needed.
  • Assist with special projects and other department duties as assigned.

      Required Qualifications:

      • Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds.
      • Strong public service skills.
      • Able to explain complex library procedures and policies in person and over the phone.
      • Able to handle detailed-oriented work.

      Desired Qualifications:

      • Prior library work experience.
