6 - 10 hours per week.
Morning, mid-day, and evening shifts available.

Duties:
|
- Checks books in and out for patrons at the Circulation Desk.
- Assists patrons by answering directional and informational questions.
- Uses the library catalog to perform basic bibliographic searches for patrons.
- Shelves book and periodicals, and retrieves library materials from storage.
- Processes incoming library materials for patron pick up.
- Prepares outgoing library materials for transit.
- Processes new materials for collection.
- Uses standard computer applications for routine/repetitive keyboarding and data entry.
- Assists in opening and closing procedures of the library.

Required Qualifications:
|
- Strong public service skills.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Punctual, reliable and able to commit to an agreed upon schedule.
- Available to work some evenings until 6 p.m. and some Sunday afternoons during the academic year, after training period.
- Available through the 2012-2013 academic year.

Desired Qualifications:

- Previous library experience is helpful but not required.

The Mathematics Research Library is open 9 - 6 Monday - Thursday, 9 - 5 Friday, and 1 - 5 Sundays. It is closed on Saturdays.
