Hours:

10-15 hours per week, some weekend and evening hours possible..

Duties:

  • Provide UW users with service in an audio/video viewing and maker space
  • Assist UW users in digitizing analog audio/video media
  • Consultation on audio/video media software, hardware and equipment questions
  • Answer questions about the Libraries media collections, services, and resources
  • Troubleshoot and maintain organization in audio/video makerspace
  • Circulate equipment and course reserve materials to students
  • Public desk service as assigned and as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Required Qualifications:

     

    • Experience using Mac OS and audio/video software, hardware, and equipment.
    • Interest in audio and video, including film, music, and video games
    • Ability to patiently explain complex technical procedures orally and in writing to users with varying technical abilities

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Experience using Premier, FinalCut Pro X, Ableton, ProTools, Photoshop, and/or related software.
    • Technical training experience
    • Public service experience
    • Programming and/or Database/information systems background
