Rate:

$13-15 per hour, depending on experience.

Hours:

10 hours per week for academic year only.

Schedule to be determined.

Note: Academic year only is based on funding level; full year at reduced weekly hours may be negotiable.

Duties:

This position participates in OERC website development and monitors web and social network use.  Also participates in ensuring that web-based resources are compliant with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, in creating and maintaining an Evaluation Tools and Resources LibGuide, and in updating OERC publications about health information outreach evaluation.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Using .csv-formatted datasets and various web lists, compile a list of community colleges that belong to the National Network of Libraries of Medicine.
  • Monitor and analyze web and social network use statistics.
  • Assess web resource 508 compliance and make necessary adjustments to the web resources and pages.
  • Assist with updating the OERC website by completing, publishing, and marketing an Evaluation Tools and Resources LibGuide.
  • Evaluate e-book software for OERC publications about health information outreach evaluation.
  • Participate in updating and marketing OERC publications about health information outreach evaluation.
  • Coordinate registration, evaluation, and communication for national webinars.
  • Collect satisfaction and opinion data using web-based survey tools.

      Required Qualifications:

      • Strong writing skills.
      • Familiarity with MS Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
      • Experience with web site creation and editing.

      Desired Qualifications:

      • Candidate for a degree in a field related to information or communication.
      • Interest in health information.
      • Interest in research/evaluation methodologies.
      • Familiarity with basic social networking channels (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, blogging).
      • Experience with web traffic analytical tools.
      • Experience with SurveyMonkey questionnaire creation/administration software.
