10 hours per week; hours between 9 am - 5 pm Monday through Friday


  • Transliterate (into Western alphabet) titles and serial issue numbers
  • Input bibliographic and order records for titles received in Burmese language
  • Check vendor catalogs and invoices against library holdings
  • Assist in the description and management of electronic journal files in Burmese
  • Assist in providing metadata for a database of scanned documents in Burmese

    Required Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of Burmese language
    • Good communications skills in English
    • Highly accurate typing skills; minimum speed 40 wpm
    • Should be highly detail oriented
    • Must be willing to learn computer procedures and the Library of Congress transliteration schedules
    Other Job Details: This is a limited duration position that will end 13 June, 2014.
