$11.15 per hour.


10-19  hours per week.

Weekly hours Monday-Thursday, 7:30am-10pm; Friday 7:30am-5pm; weekends until 5pm


  • Shelve, move and locate library materials
  • Prepare outgoing mail and library materials for Interlibrary Loan
  • Receive, unpack and sort incoming mail
  • Use standard computer applications to help library users
  • Check books in and out for library users at the Circulation/Reserves Desk
  • Assist library users by answering directional and informational questions
  • Assists staff in opening and closing the library
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Able to work closing shifts; until 10:00pm Monday-Thursday; until 5:00pm Saturday or Sunday
  • Detail oriented and accurate in performing daily routine tasks
  • Able to work independently as well as a part of a team
  • Able to lift up to 40 pounds and push heavy book trucks

Desired Qualifications:

  • Able to work opening shifts: 7:30am-10:00am
  • Previous library experience
  • Strong public service skills
  • Able to work at least two consecutive quarters
  • Able to be punctual and work regularly scheduled shifts for entire term, including during finals week
