10-15 hours per week; may include weekdays (Monday-Thursday 8am-9pm; Friday 8am-5pm) and weekends (Saturday 9am-5pm)


  • Shelve, move and locate library materials
  • Prepare outgoing mail and library materials for Interlibrary Loan
  • Receive, unpack, and sort incoming mail
  • Use standard computer applications to help library users
  • Check books in and out for library users at the Circulation/Reserves Desk
  • Assist library users by answering directional and informational questions
  • Assist staff in opening and closing the library
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Able to work closing shifts (9pm Monday-Thursday, 5pm Friday-Saturday)

Desired Qualifications:

  • Able to work opening shifts (8-10:30am weekdays)
  • Detail oriented and accurate in performing daily routine tasks
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Able to lift up to 40 pounds and push heavy book trucks
  • Previous library experience
  • Strong public service skills
  • Available to work at least two consecutive quarters
