Friends of the Libraries, established in 1991, is a group of dedicated individuals from the community who support the University Libraries. The Friends mission is to increase awareness of the importance of University Libraries to our community and region, help stimulate private support, and encourage an appreciation of the University Libraries, through events including Literary Voices.
Your gift to the Friends of the Libraries fund supports

• Friends of the Libraries Awards as determined by the Friends of the Libraries Board for special Libraries needs, including
  - the preservation of rare materials and photographs
  - the purchase of books, journals, media and equipment
• Friends of the Libraries special events
• Student Employee Scholarships
• Library Research Awards for Undergraduates

Through your gift, you join the students, faculty and citizens scholars who use and support this outstanding research library, and are eligible for membership benefits.

Membership Benefits:

Scribe: $50 - $99 Annually
A subscription to the Friends of the Libraries newsletter
Invitations to Libraries special events, lectures and presentations
Artist Images bookmark

Scholar: $100 - $249 Annually
All Scribe benefits, plus
Borrowing privileges from University Libraries, good for one year from date of contribution
Subscription to Library Directions semi-annual newsletter
Listing in, and copy of UW Libraries annual Report to Contributors

Curator: $250 - $999 Annually
All Scholar benefits, plus
A special tour or presentation during the year

Dean’s Circle: $1,000 and up annually
All curator benefits, plus
Invitation to annual Dean’s Circle Dinner
