Area Specification and Description, Equipment and Hours:

The display walls on the second and third floors of OUGL are illuminated by display lights (second floor) or natural light from the skylight (third floor) and painted white. Both spaces are broken into three sections, separated by the doors to study rooms. Two walls measure 8' high and 12' long, and one wall measures 8' high and 6.5' long. Both floors have a rail/hook picture hanging system that will accommodate framed art with hooks or wires on the back. The second floor of OUGL houses the Learning Commons, which includes 350 computers and an information desk. Surveys have shown that 40% of people entering this library use the Learning Commons so the display wall reaches a large audience.

OUGL also has floor space available for exhibits throughout the library, mobile glass display cases that hold small objects and poster rails on the first floor.

OUGL will provide wall or floor space, wall hooks, publicity on our web page, and a potential space for an artist reception. The artist is responsible for hanging the art, hardwear to hang it, and publicizing the exhibit, including any events related to the exhibit.
