Crowds gather at the West Entrance of Suzzallo for the ribbon-cutting ceremony. The Husky Pep Band plays on the Suzzallo Library front porch.
Director of the University Libraries, Betsy Wilson, welcomes the audience and introduces UW President Richard McCormick (behind and to the right). The Husky Pep Band leads the way into the library (and then up the grand staircase).
In the grand stair hall on the 3rd floor, just outside the Reading Room, the Husky Pep Band entertains the crowd with "Tequila."
