ACRL Washington State Chapter Board 
Position Description: 
Vice President/President-Elect


Requirements:

The Vice-President must be an ALA/ACRL member and a member of the Washington State Chapter of ACRL.

 

Term:  

The Vice-President will serve a one-year term, which begins following the spring board meeting. After the one-year term is complete, the Vice-President will assume the Presidency.  In the event of resignation or inability to serve out the term of President, the Vice-President will be appointed to the Presidency, assuming the office early and completing the partial term as well as his/her own term as President. (A vacancy in the office of vice-president/president-elect shall be filled by election.)

 

Duties:

  1. The Vice-President shall serve as a voting member on the Board of Directors.
     
  2. The Vice-President shall serve as Chapter Program Chair and is responsible for planning the fall program for the following calendar year. If the meeting is in Oregon , the Vice-President need only offer assistance or support to the Oregon group. However, the Vice President must ensure that conference information and a registration form is made available through the Chapter web site and/or the Chapter newsletter, and announced via the Chapter email list.
     

Deadlines:

November: The Vice-President must submit a budget request to the National Organization. (See ACRL Guide to Policies and Procedures for the form and the deadline for that fiscal year.)
