Scholarship Information

The board of the Washington State Chapter of ACRL is pleased to offer
two scholarships for the ACRL Washington & Oregon Joint Fall Conference,"The Once & Future Catalog,"
which will be held October 23-24, 2008 at the
Menucha Conference Center in Corbett, Oregon.

One scholarship will be given to a Library/Information Science student in the Pacific Northwest who is interested in academic librarianship.

The second scholarship will be given to a first-time conference attendee who works in an academic library in Washington State, with preference given to a librarian with a salary of $38,000 or less.

The scholarships will cover the full registration cost, which includes meals, lodging, and program, plus an additional $25 for transportation, if needed, and a one-year membership in the Washington State Chapter of ACRL.

Scholarship winners will be asked to write an essay about
their conference experience for the ACRL-WA Newsletter.

The application deadline is October 8, 2008.
Scholarship recipients will be notified by October 13, 2008.
