Course Reserves Information
Art Library course reserves can be found under the Course Reserves button of the UW Catalog. They are listed by the name of the instructor, and by the course name and number. (See detailed instructions on how to access e-reserves and the reserve list in general.)
- If the item's location is "Art Reserve", write down the call number and author (if there is one), and request the item at the circulation desk. These desk items are 2 hour.
- If the item's location is "Art Reserve in Stacks", write down the call number and locate the book yourself in the general stacks. Reserve items in the general stacks may be 24 hour, 3 day, or Library Use Only. Check the back of the book to determine which.
Reserves checked out from the Art Library must be returned to that circulation desk when the library is open or to the hall book drop when the library is closed. Renewals must be done in person, with item, at the same desk. Restrictions may apply. Reserves cannot be renewed by phone, email, or on the Web.
Reserve fines accrue at a rate of $2.50 for the first hour and 50 cents per hour thereafter. The maximum fine is $30.00 per item. All days or hours are counted for fining purposes whether the library unit is open or closed. Any part of a day or hour is computed as a full day or hour.
Students checking out reserve materials are responsible for knowing when reserve items are due and for understanding the Libraries' fine policies. Don't hesitate to ask questions.
