- To delete an item from the Worksheet area, highlight it and select Delete Selections from the Worksheet menu. (Or, right-click on the item and select Delete Selections).
- To move an item from one category to another, e.g, row to column, highlight the item and choose Reassign
from the Worksheet menu. (Or, right-click on the item and choose Reassign.)
- Once you have the columns set up, you can change the criteria in the rows and run additional searches. For example, if you were looking for a target market for imported beer, you could specify imported beer as a column heading. Then you could run sep
arate searches using different criteria for rows, such as age, income level, education, buying style, etc. Each additional search will create a separate Excel crosstab report.

- (000) = Projected
- This number represents the total number of adults who meet the specifications of both the Row and the Column. The three 000s should be added to the end of whatever number is given. The number in this row is a projection based on the sample populatio
n.
- Crosstab
- The intersection of data in a row and column. A Crosstab in Choices II is the data determined by you search, formatted into an Excel spreadsheet.
- Data Access -- Search
- Allows you to search the entire database for specific categories, brands, products, as well as media, demographic and psychographic information.
- Dictionary
- A hierarchical list containing all the categories and questions asked in a particular study. Used to search for and select categories to specify as bases, columns and rows.
- Horz%
- Horizontal % or Percent Across. The number of people who have a given characteristic, expressed as a percent, as defined by the Row heading.
- Index
- This number indicates the likelihood, compared to the total population, of meeting the specifications of both the Column and the Row. The base number for comparison is 100.
- Resps
- Respondents. This number is the number of respondents in this study who met the specifications of both the Row and the Column.
- Total
- Study of Media & Markets Total Population/Number of adults age 18+ in the continental US.
- Vert%
- Vertical % or Percent Down. The number of people who have a given characteristic, expressed as a percent, as defined by the Column heading.
