April 19, 2005 -- Printing Not Working on Public Computers
While printing is working for the Access Plus machines in the library (the computers that require a UW Net ID), it is not working for the public computers in the library (the computers that do not ask for a UW Net ID), nor for any such computers campus-wide. Technology Services is working to fix this problem.
April 15, 2005 -- CD-ROM Databases
PC #19, the station for the library's CD-ROM databases CorpTech EXPLORE, Datastream, the Importer and Exporter Directory Indexes, Mediamark, Morningstar Principia Plus, and Simmons Choices III, has been repaired and is back in place--but only three databases are operable: Mediamark, Morningstar, and Simmons Choices III. Printing is not yet working but students can download data to Excel, save to diskette, and print off other computers in the library.
April 8, 2005 -- Printing Problems Fixed
Printing from all of the Libraries public machines (including the Bloomberg terminal) appears to be working properly now. The Foster Business Library CD-ROM databases are still down.
April 7, 2005 -- Printing Problem
Printing from all of the Libraries public machines (including the Bloomberg terminal) appears to be broken right now. Printing is still possible from all Access+ machines. The Libraries' Information Technology Services is working to fix this problem.
April 6, 2005 -- CD-ROM Databases
PC #19, the station for the library's CD-ROM databases CorpTech EXPLORE, Datastream, the Importer and Exporter Directory Indexes, Mediamark, Morningstar Principia Plus, and Simmons Choices III, is down. Emergency fixes for UW Libraries' servers have disabled PC #19. While efforts are underway to restore these databases, there is no date at this time for new software for PC #19.
