Tuesday, July 26, 2005 -- ProQuest Databases down

All ProQuest databases are down but the vendor expects them to be back up by 1PM today; ProQuest databases include the ABI/Inform databases, ProQuest Newspapers, and Washington State Newsstand.

Monday, July 18, 2005 -- More Access+ computers

New Access+ computers have been added to the main floor computer area in the Foster Business Library, expanding access to Microsoft Office products in the library, so that both research and report preparation can occur on the same computers. The main area now has fourteen Access+ computers, ten public computers, and two special terminals (for Bloomberg and special CD-ROM database). Another Access+ computer will be installed this week, near the self-service printer, with an attached scanner. Another eighteen Access+ computers will be installed in the Instruction Room in the library later today, completing this round of computer upgrades.

Friday, July 15, 2005 -- More Access+ computers

Work has begun today to rearrange computers in the library. Nineteen more Access+ computers will be installed in the Foster Business Library Monday, including one computer with an attached scanner. These new computers will be installed mostly in the Instruction Room, replacing general public computers that lack Microsoft Office applications, such as Microsoft Word; another four computers will be installed with the rest of the existing Access+ computers. Thank you for your patience while we complete the work necessary for these installations and improved computer access for students and faculty.
