The UW Libraries Online catalog problems have now been fixed.

Keywork searching in the UW Libraries Catalog is not available today, August 29; repairs are underway and keyword searching should become available by tomorrow. Other types of searches are reportedly slow to produce results. To search for books and other materials, you might want to use the Summit Catalog, which includes University of Washington materials.
Friday, August 26, 2005 - Online catalog and Euromonitor to be down
The UW Libraries Catalog will be down for maintenance on Saturday, August 27, from 7AM to 7PM PDT. Please use the Summit Catalog to search during this time.
The Euromonitor Market Research database will be down the weekend of August 27-28 for upgrade and maintenance work.
Friday, August 19, 2005 - Interim hours; online catalog, some databases down
Summer quarter ends Friday, August 19; classes resume with the beginning of autumn quarter on September 28. During the interim, the Foster Business Library's hours are:
Monday through Friday: 10AM to 5PM; closed weekends, and on Labor Day, Monday, September 5.
All ProQuest databases will be unavailable on Saturday, August 20 from 7:00 pm PDT to approximately 3:00 am PDT on Sunday, August 21, for scheduled maintenance.
The Euromonitor Market Research database will also be down the weekends of August 20-21 and August 27-28 for upgrade and maintenance work.
Thursday, August 18, 2005 - Online catalog, ProQuest, and Euromonitor to be down
The UW Libraries Catalog will be down from 7PM, tomorrow night, Friday, August 19 to midnight, for file rebuilding, prior to the installation of new software on Monday; also unavailable will be the ability to borrow materials through Summit. The UW Libraries Catalog will also be unavailable on Monday, August 22 from 5:30 pm PDT to approximately 12:00pm PDT on Tuesday, August 23, for scheduled maintenance. To search for books and other materials, during this period, use the Summit Catalog, which includes University of Washington materials.

Friday, August 5, 2005 -- No printing this Sunday
There will probably be no printing from library computers, campus-wide, this Sunday, due to a planned power outage in the building that houses the print servers. Campus Copy Services has reported that: "We have been notified by Seattle City Light that there will be an extended power outage to our building and surrounding area this weekend due to construction of the new Research and Technology building. We do not know exact times as of yet, but anticipate being down for most of the weekend." At this time, only Sunday is expected to be without printing, with printing again possible by Monday morning. Monday, August 1, 2005 -- Print servers up
The Pharos servers which distribute printing to all the public print stations run by Copy Services are back in operation, after a four hour power outage caused by a crane operator near Publication Services.

The Pharos servers which distribute printing to all the public print stations run by Copy Services are down, because of a major power outage caused by construction near Publication Services.
