Wednesday, September 28, 2005 - Printing from Access+ computers
Printing from Access+ workstations today is defaulting to the copy center in the Suzzallo/Allen Library, not to the Balmer Copy Center. Be sure, when running print jobs from Access+ computers in the Foster Business Library, to specify Balmer Copy Center for your printing. The EPLT people, who run the Access+ computers, are trying to fix this problem.
Wednesday, September 21, 2005 - Access+ computers down
All of the Access+ computers in the library will be down for much of today, due to new software installation. The library's public workstations are not included in this installation so they will remain available for use.
Tuesday, September 20, 2005 - Access+ computers down
All of the Access+ computers in the library are down this morning, due to a software failure, but the library's public workstations are fine. The Access+ computers should be fixed by later this morning.
Wednesday, September 14, 2005 - UW Libraries Catalog
The UW Libraries Catalog will be unavailable beginning Wednesday, September 14, at 5:00 pm PDT for scheduled maintenance. During this time, please use Summit to search for materials owned by the UW Libraries.

The Foster Business Library's Group Study Rooms are fully booked for Tuesday and Wednesday, September 13 and 14, reserved for participants in the Business School's inaugural Seattle Innovation Symposium; see more information here.
Wednesday, September 7, 2005 - Group study rooms
The Foster Business Library has opened an additional, small group study room on the library's second floor, making eight rooms now available for student teams of two or more individuals. For more information, see Group Study Rooms.
Friday, September 2, 2005 - Online catalog unavailable today
The UW Libraries Catalog will be unavailable on Friday, September 2, for most or all of the day, due to scheduled software maintenance. To search for books and other materials, during this period, use the Summit Catalog, which includes University of Washington materials.
Thursday, September 1, 2005 - ProQuest databases
In an effort to highlight full text article databases, a new box has been added under Databases on the Foster Business Library homepage: Proquest. This box includes ProQuest Business (with several thousand business, tax, and accounting databases, including ABI/Inform Global), ProQuest Complete (over 10,000 periodicals with over 100 million articles), and ProQuest Newspapers (with full text for more than 600 newspapers). ProQuest Complete includes everything in ProQuest Business and ProQuest Newspapers.

The UW Libraries Catalog will be unavailable on Friday, September 2, from 9:30 am PDT to approximately 12:00pm PDT, to fix software problems. To search for books and other materials, during this period, use the Summit Catalog, which includes University of Washington materials.
