Spring Break Closure - Library and Paccar Hall

The Foster Business Library and Paccar Hall will be closed to the public over spring break.

At the beginning of Phase 2 construction in August 2010, we temporarily relocated our print book and journal collection to an offsite location .  Since then, Foster Library staff have paged requests for material twice a day for users.  We now have access to our Phase 2 library space and plan to bring the print collection back to the library during spring break.

The Foster Library will be closed during the coming interim  - March 19 to March 23 - while library staff and UW Moving Services move the collection from Kane Hall to our new compact shelving installation.  We'll also be closed the weekends of March 17-18 and March 24-25. Paccar Hall will also be closed during this time because of end-of-project work on the emergency exits.

If you need to request and pick up material from Foster or other libraries while we're closed, please select Suzzallo Library or Odegaard Undergraduate Library as the pick-up location. During the move we won't be able to page materials from the Foster collection, but we'll get to your request as quickly as we can. UW faculty and staff can also request materials to be delivered directly to their campus mailboxes.

If you need reference assistance or to speak with library staff, the best way to reach us during spring break will be by email.
