Libraries spaces: UW Tacoma Library changes, Odegaard Library begins remodel

We are proud that we are an "Any Time, Any Place" Library. If patrons have a computer and a connection, our services—databases, online chat, subject guides, streaming course reserves—can be accessed at any hour.

Still, library spaces continue to be a vital part of what we provide to our users; over the past two years, we've enjoyed an increase of a half-million visitors to Libraries, bringing the total to five million visitors a year from Friday Harbor to Tacoma.

Engaged groups of students are always in need of a study room or a collaboration "booth" to share ideas or work on a presentation. A visit to the quiet Suzzallo Reading Room is always inspiring for contemplative thought.

In this issue of E-news, we look at a few projects that are much-needed in response to our growing student use. With a mission of "connecting people with knowledge," we continue to look to our users to guide us as we enhance spaces and services.
