Engineering Library Doesn't Have the Standard You Need
If, after following the steps laid out and consulting with the reference desk, you are unable to find the standard you need, it is quite possible that the Engineering Library does not hold that standard.
To find other libraries that also have standards in their collection consult:
- The OCLC catalog.
- OCLC WorldCat consists of over 30 million catalog records and
holdings information for material owned by libraries around the world,
including books, journals, maps, sound recordings and other media, etc.
- and the Union List of Standards and Specifications in the Pacific
Northwest (TE250.P38, located at the reference desk).
- A listing of other libraries (and contact information) in the
Pacific Northwest that have standards in their collection. This listing is
arranged by library and by standards organization bodies.
To purchase a copy of the standard you need, you can do so through:
If you are a current University of Washington faculty, student, or
staff you may submit a purchase request for the needed standard.
Requests are subject to approval by the Librarian who selects standards.
Email us at englib@u.washington.edufor more information or to request a standard.
