March 1999 marks the centennial of Mount Rainier National Park. In celebration of this event, the UW Libraries presents an introduction to the history of our region's backyard national park and the mountain, highlighting material available in the Special Collections, Manuscripts and University Archives Division at the University of Washington Libraries. We encourage you to contact us about our collections and we would be happy to help identify further materials on the history of Mount Rainier National Park.
