AQUATIC SCIENCES AND FISHERIES ABSTRACTS (ASFA) 1971+ ASFA indexes approximately 4500 journals worldwide covering all aspects of marine, freshwater and brackish water environments. Also, includes technical reports and conference papers. Available in all library units. The Descriptors (subject headings) in the ASFA database serve to gather together like material. You may use the online Thesaurus to view descriptors, broader, narrower, and related terms, and use for terms. Some examples follow:

GEOBASE is a searchable database covering the period 1980 to the present which covers the subject areas of Geography, Ecology, Earth Science, and Marine Science. NTIS, 1964 + Indexes and abstracts U.S. Government-sponsored research,development, and engineering reports and analyses distributed by the National Technical Information Service. Includes NOAA technical reports. NTIS is also available for free on the Web covering the years 1990 to the present, usually without abstracts.
