DATABASES

(Note: The UW Libraries Catalog and NTIS on the Web are available to all. Only UW-affiliated users can access the other databases.)

UW LIBRARIES CATALOG The Libraries Catalog includes the book and journal holdings of all of the University of Washington Libraries collections. You can search for materials by title words, author names, subject headings, and keywords. Remember: the catalog will tell you if we own a journal but not about the contents of the journal. The Catalog is NOT the database to use to identify journal articles.

NTIS, 1964 + Indexes and abstracts U.S. Government-sponsored research,development, and engineering reports and analyses distributed by the National Technical Information Service. Includes NOAA technical reports. NTIS is also available for free on the Web covering the years 1990 to the present, usually without abstracts.

WILDLIFE REVIEW/FISHERIES REVIEW 1970 Wildlife Review/Fisheries Review covers the world's literature on fjish, birds, mammals. amphibians and reptiles. Topics include individual species, genetics, disease, propagation, habitat. This Database is currently available on the UW Libraries Seattle Campus CD-ROM network. To use this product, you must come in to one of the UW Library Units. If you are in a UW Library unit, please ask a member of Libraries Staff how to gain access to the networked CD's. Please consult a member of the Libraries' staff for more information, or for assistance with alternative sources.

The CATALOG OF UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT PUBLICATIONS from the Superintendent of Documents, can be used to identify information available in Federal Depository Libraries. Bibliographic records since 1994 are included. The University of Washington Libraries is a Federal Depository Library.
