"This page contains links to a variety of material relevant to the issue justice for Australian Citizen, David Hicks." David Hicks was a former Guantanamo Bay detainee, detained by the U.S. Government. (The Law Council is Non-Governmental.)

      CANADA

      • "Arar Commission Factual Inquiry [Commission of Inquiry into the actions of Canadian Officials in Relation to Maher Arar], Report of the Events Relating to Maher Arar...." Maher Arar, a Canadian citizen, was subject to extraordinary rendition (detention and torture outside the US) by the US Government, based in large part on information supplied by Canada.

          • Foreign, Affairs Committee, House of Commons, Parliament, "Foreign Affairs Committee: Reports and Publications.", Includes, by session, from about 2001, recurring reports entitled "Foreign Policy Aspects of the War against Terrorism". Additionally, look for reports on Iraq, Afghanistan, the Russian Federation, the Israel-Palestine conflict, Weapons of Mass Destruction, "The Decision to Go to War", biological weapons, etc. Includes recommendations, minutes, evidence, and links to a list of evidence and reports on these and other topics published by the Foreign Affairs Committee since 2001.
          • Intelligence and Security Committee "...operates within the ‘ring of secrecy’ and has wide access to the range of Agency activities and to highly classified information...." Site includes many links to full-text copies of important reports on security incidents and policy issues, such as bombings in London 7 July 2005 and in Bali 12 October 2002, and Guantanamo Bay imprisonments by the United States.
