Public Transit and Public Parking in Seattle

Detailed Travel Instructions:
Print and bring with you the travel instructions for events you will attend that occur prior to Registration (which opens at noon on Thursday Sept 16). Those who wish to park their car downtown, in the University District, or near the Panama Hotel are advised to print and bring with them the parking maps linked below.

One way bus fares outside the Ride Free Area (and inside the Ride Free Area between 7:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.) are:

• $1.50 during peak periods (morning and evening commute hours)
• $1.25 during off-peak periods

For those who do need their vehicle
(print and bring what you need from the resources below - copies will not be included in registration packets)

• Here is a downtown parking map, showing both surface lots and parking structures.
• Parking at the downtown Seattle Public Library
• Map showing parking facilities in the International District. The Panama Hotel is at 605 1/2 S. Main near the intersection of 6th and S. Main. The closest lots are a half block to the east (corner of Maynard Ave S and S. Main) or west (corner of 5th and S. Main).
• Map of the north-central portion of the University of Washington campus indicates parking areas in a light grey shade. The largest parking area is the underground Central Garage, entered through Gate 1 from 15th Ave NE at 41st Street. The parking fee on the UW Campus is $9 for four hours or more. A portion of the $9 is refunded if you exit the lot in less than four hours.
• Driving directions to the UW Central Campus area (the Seattle Public Library and the airport are both south of the campus).
